one thing is not clear to me.... answer is related to the film name: or not i tried all the possibilities but cant get it

Is the answer related to the gate in the clue. I've tried all possible outputs of the gate with all the films the two ppl worked together in but the answer just doesn't work. Any further clues?

I thought the "do not post the answer" part referred to the not gate and complemented the film **** **** to get ********** which wouldn't work. I guess I'm completely off track. Any clues?
